REVIEW
FROM THE TEIFI KIDS CLUB
On the website thisistivyside.com for the newspaper
Tivyside Advertiser/West Wales
posted by Joe aged 13
I liked the book 'The Shapeshifters
at Cilgerran' because I found the storyline about a boy called Leo
and his cousin Ginny, who are being chased by two Dreamstealers, very
gripping.
The story never lost its
verve from start to finish. I also found the book pretty scary, expecially
the Dreamstealers and how they suck peoples'dreams out of their bodies
to make them cruel and empty, also by the fact they are the undead
and disguise themselves by turning into the people whose dreams they
have taken.
Local readers will be pleased
to know that a large part of this book is based in Cilgerran castle
- so younger readers, having read it, may see the castle in a new
light.
If I had one word for this
book it would be 'fantastic'. Not many books have gripped me as much
as the Dreamstealer Trilogy and I cannot wait for the third and final
book.
Some people refer to this
as the Welsh Harry Potter and I for one agree with them because of
the great imagination and skill of Liz Whittaker.
