Liz Whittaker originally trained to teach drama, but has also worked in journalism and community theatre. She has been writing and telling stories for children for many years and has led a number of junior youth theatres, writing, directing and producing in Wales and South West England.
Her first novel for children The Fizzing Stone, Part One of The Dreamstealers trilogy was published this year by Y Lolfa.

She has the appropriate police Enhanced Disclosure for working with children.

Organisations are advised that they may apply for funding to support events through the Writers on Tour scheme, run by the Wales Academy.
